When Things Go Wrong
WHEN THINGS GO WRONG
Poems by I.B. Iskov
A searching, deeply human collection of poems about endurance and attention.
What stays with us when everything else slips away? In this honest and wide-ranging collection, I.B. (Bunny) Iskov writes through pain, memory, illness, faith, and the ordinary moments that shape a life. Rooted in clarity and feeling, these poems move from the deeply personal to the historical and cultural, touching on loneliness, resilience, aging, identity, and the search for meaning in a complicated world.
Whether reflecting on childhood, confronting physical suffering, or bearing witness to injustice, Iskov writes with a voice that is both disarming and restorative. When Things Go Wrong is a testament to endurance, to the power of expression, and to the belief that—even in the darkest hours—something in us continues to reach for light.

I Still Have Faith
in the olive branch:
peace will come cheaper when
everyone wants it;
after washing our hands
of all the problems in the world,
mornings will be easier to accept;
we will all rejoice when all doomsday missiles
are flung into the oblivion of space.
