The Greek Connection is the first of four novels in the STelian Munteanu by one of Romania’s best known and most successful crime / mystery writers.

A Greek holiday abruptly interrupted by the murder of a Russian girl. The primary suspect is a Romanian man, and when journalist Stelian Munteanu happens to be nearest person to the crime scene, he soon gets pulled into the sordid tale where nothing is what it seems. A pursuit from Greece to Rome, Bucharest, Vienna and finally across France, Munteanu finds himself entering the dark world of diamond smuggling and stolen furs, where a mysterious ex-KGB agent knows it all.

Bogdan Hrib was born in Bucharest, Romania in 1966. He is the author of the crime fiction series featuring Stelian Munteanu, a book-editor with a sideline doing international police work. Kill the General (2011), the fourth book in the Munteanu series was Hrib’s first novel translated into English won the Special Award of the Bucharest Writers Association (2012). The Greek Connection is Hrib’s second novel to be translated into English. Hrib is the co-founder of Tritonic Publishing Phillips and has been instrumental in bringing other Romanian crime writers into English publication. From 2008, Bogdan has been the editorial director of Crime Scene Publishing in Bucharest. He is also the vice-president of the Romanian Crime Writers Club (from 2010), and served as editorial counselor of Flacăra Magazine (2010-12). He is the director/organizer of the Mystery & Thriller Festival in Râșnov (2011-12), as well as the PR coordinator of the History Film Festival in Râșnov (from 2011)
